Debuting the 2018 Acura TLXApr 13rd, 2017
The 2018 TLX is sporting restyled bodywork, new interior features, added technology and the sporty A-Spec trim returns. Acura decided to freshen the look of its still-popular luxury sport sedan. This refresh is fairly modest with a MDX-inspired front end, new set of wheels and restyled rear bumper.
Although the TLX has retained its somewhat awkward dual-screen setup, the infotainment system has been redesigned with standard connectivity of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Advance package option adds wireless charging, unique interior lighting and cooled front seats.
The base TLX powertrain 2.4-litre four-cylinder puts out 206 horsepower complete with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Next option up is a 3.5-litre V6 with 290 horsepower complete with a nine-speed automatic, as well all-wheel drive is then an option.
The newest addition is the A-Spec package. This package is more dynamic styling from slick 19-inch wheels to a mild body kit. Not only cosmetic upgrades but additions like more responsive power-steering system, returned suspension components, and, on AWD models, thicker rear sway bar and stiffer springs.
The TXL A-Spec also includes a thicker steering wheel, different gauges, brushed aluminum trim bits, and the option of well-bolstered front seats available in black or red.
The 2018 TLX is expected to hit North American dealers this summer.
